YOUR WORDS STAY YOURS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026.

Text you enter

The name-decoration tool runs in your browser. It does not send your name or other entered text to a server, and it does not save that input. Reloading the page resets the preview. Do not enter sensitive information into a public or shared device.

Recently copied symbols

We use your browser’s local storage to remember up to six symbols from this collection. We store their collection identifiers, not your custom text. We do not send the stored history as an analytics event. Recently copied symbols are visible on the page and may appear in masked session recordings. Use “Clear” beside the recent-symbol row, or clear site data in your browser, to remove it. The collection still works if local storage is unavailable.

The storage key is crosssymbol.recent.v1. It has no automatic expiry: entries remain until you clear them, newer entries replace them beyond the six-item limit, or your browser removes the site data. Local storage is separate from an HTTP cookie and does not synchronize through this website.

Your clipboard

A Copy button asks your browser to place the selected text on your clipboard. We do not read your existing clipboard contents. If your browser refuses the write, you can select and copy the text manually. Clipboard managers or other apps on your device may retain copied text according to their own settings.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and Microsoft Clarity to understand navigation, clicks, scrolling, and page layout through heatmaps and session recordings. These components load when you visit, without waiting for a site consent prompt. The providers may process technical information and use cookies or similar identifiers, subject to browser settings and their regional rules. We do not send names, search text, or generated decorations as analytics events. Input fields, the name composer and its output, and the manual-copy dialog are masked for Clarity. We do not enable Google advertising personalization or Google Signals. Fonts are served with the website. See Google’s privacy policy and Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Website delivery

Loading a website involves sending technical information, such as an IP address, browser details, and requested URLs, to its hosting provider. The production site is designed for Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process request information to deliver and secure the site under its privacy policy. This does not include the text you type into our local name-decoration tool.

External references

Some guides link to Unicode, Microsoft, Apple, and other reference websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices. We do not control what they collect when you follow a link.

Your choices

You can block analytics requests or cookies using your browser’s privacy controls or content blocker; copying and decoration do not depend on analytics. You can clear recent-symbol history using the collection’s Clear control or your browser’s site-data settings. You can deny clipboard access and use manual copying instead. The site has no account database or saved name-decoration input for us to retrieve or delete.

Changes to this policy

We will revise this page when our data practices change and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated, and consent obtained, where applicable law requires it. The Terms of Use explain the conditions for using the service.
